Seattle World Fair Enabling Act

This is the 50th anniversary of the Seattle World’s Fair–also known as Century 21. The process of planning the fair, however, began several years prior to 1962. Chapter 307 of the 1955 Laws of Washington created the world fair commission to investigate the feasibility and desirability of such a fair. The commission favored the idea and the rest is history. If you are interested in seeing the act, you can go to a library because Washington’s laws from that time are not available on the internet.
