Dudley, Stephens and Cannibalism

Heading to the library.Criminal Law begins again and that means many references to the Model Penal Code. It also usually means reading Regina v. Dudley and Stephens, the 1884 English cannibalism case. Did you ever want to know more about the circumstances of the case? If not, that’s fine (and probably normal). But if so, 100 years after the case, A. W. Brian Simpson wrote an entire book about the case. The law library has a copy shelved in the Culp Collection on the 3rd Floor (Range 3A). It’s a book you can sink your teeth into.
